HISTORY
A 50 minute ferry from Central Ferry there is the island of Peng Chau it is known for its temples, its small island lifestyle and accessibility to fresh seafood. The Hong Kong government does not have any record of Peng Chau history, so the present narration is mainly from some books, cultural relics and the residents' oral history. Due to the shelter from hills on almost four sides and two natural sheltered bays, the island has long provided a work and rest spot for travellers. Unexpectedly the island has an extremely rich fresh water source. To know more about the trail visit this link.
